Hurghada is the
capital of the Red Sea province and one of the oldest tourist cities
in Egypt, its name derives from ancient times, when it was called
land of Hor, after the god Horus. Later, the western world named it
Hur's Gate until it finally became known as Hurghada.
Hurghada
town
is comprised of three distinct neighborhoods:
1 -
Dahar
area (Down Town) is
the administrative centre, where all governmental offices are located.
2 -
Sakala
also known as El Mena, is where the port of Hurghada is situated and Is
approximately 2 km south of Dahar.
Dahar and Sakala are vibrant touristic
and commercial centers.
3 - The Villages
area extending south
for 25 km from the Marriott Hotel to The Oberoi Hotel in SahI Hashish,
contains numerous hotels and tourist attractions.
Royal City Hotel
is 2 stars hotel located in the main center of Sakala in Hurghada
city near the Mermaid Square OR (Al Arosa Sqaure). The hotel was
opened and begun working on the year of 1996 with an owner
management supervised by Mr. Sabry Samaan.
